Snacks



Parents are asked to provide their child with a small snack each day. The snack should be healthy in nature and contain items from 2 of the 4 basic food groups. Little Light Learning Center is a nut free school. Please check all labels carefully to ensure that your child's snack does not contain any nut ingredients. The snack should be able to be consumed within 15 minutes. All lunch boxes, snack containers, and water bottles should be clearly labeled with your child's name.



Dress Code



Your child’s clothes should be clean, comfortable, and appropriate for promoting a positive learning environment. Pull-on pants without buttons, snaps, zippers or belts are highly recommended. Dresses should be worn with shorts or leggings underneath. We recommend soft-soled shoes like tennis shoe. Sandals, flip flops, open toed and heeled shoes are prohibited. Boots are not permitted in the classrooms. If boots are worn please send a pair of appropriate shoes for your child to change into. Please be sure that all coats, jackets, hats, gloves, etc., are clearly labeled with your child’s name.



Field Trips



Field trips may be taken throughout the school year. Parents or a designated caregiver are required to transport children to and from the field trip site. Volunteer parent chaperones will be utilized to assist in supervising children. Children will only be permitted to attend field trips if all required forms and fees are submitted to the office by the deadline for each trip.
